About

Abu Dhabi Oil Company Ltd (ADOC) is an oil exploration and production company based in Abu Dhabi, UAE owned by the Japanese. ADOC was founded in 1968 and it has a substantial offshore concession in the waters of Abu Dhabi, and has been an established partner in the emirate energy sector. It mainly deals in exploration, development and production of its offshore crude oil fields such as Mubarraz, Umm Al-Anbar and Neewat Al-Ghalan and the commingled crude oil is referred to as Mubarraz Blend which is mainly exported to Japan. ADOC is also committed to optimal recovery of oil and exploration of new fields in a good environmental protection practice.

The unique selling points of ADOC are based on its historical background of being one of the oldest Japanese companies to get the oil concessions in Abu Dhabi that have enhanced strong energy ties between Japan and the UAE. The company is known by its extensive optimal operation system that was elaborated in a close collaboration with ADNOC that indicates the company commitment to the efficient oil operation and a high priority of the health and safety and environmental (HSE) performance. ADOC commitment to sustainability in its production over the long term and its active involvement in the protection of the environment through mangrove planting activities on Mubarraz Island is a good example of a company that takes responsibility as an energy producer in the region.
